Resource Centers - North & Central America Costa Rica IDRISI Resource Center Contact: Tony Manuel Antonio Solano Mayorga The IDRISI Resource Center in Costa Rica was founded in 1996. IDRISI is used for GIS and remote sensing in a variety of courses in diverse fields. The IRC provides procurement assistance, technical guidance and training support to diverse institutions in Latin America. It is also interested in application collaboration and support. Last Updated 10/10/05 Mexico IDRISI Resource Center Contact: Miguel Angel Gomez Albores Established officially at the end of 2003, this first Resource Center in Mexico offers education and research support to the Spanish-speaking GIS community (using Geographic Information Systems) of Mexico and Central America. The IRC-UAEM consists of four complementary institutions with the following specialties: water sciences, geographic sciences, agricultural sciences and urban and regional planning.
