NOAA Global Precipitation Climatology Project (GPCP) Monthly Global Precipitation Data

Processed by the World Data Center for Meteorology (operated by the National Climatic Data Center). This dataset contains GPCP Product Version 2.1.

Data modifications include reprojection from a Pacific-centered longitude at 180 degree longitude to the Prime Meridian at 0 degree longitude center.

NASA Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) Monthly Global Precipitation Data

Processed by the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM), a joint endeavor between NASA and Japan's National Space Development Agency. This dataset contains TRMM Product 3B43 Version 6 and 6A. Version 6A starts from May 2007.

Data modifications include reclassification of the original no-data value of -9999.9 to -1.

Processed by NOAA from monthly ship and buoy SST data, satellite SST retrievals and SST's simulated by sea ice cover. Contains Global Sea Surface Temperature Product Version 2.

Data modifications include the masking of land areas.

TTS = Temperature Troposphere / Stratosphere
TLS = Temperature Lower Stratosphere
